Looking back to move forward

It has already been 15 years since our experimental workshop with a group of friends has become a baseline cultural model.

When I look back, I see not only a lot of effort, many hours invested, dedication and sacrifice, but alsothe most treasurable memories, experiences, smiles, a great deal of learning, long-lasting new friendships, adventures, the congregation of people’s stories, and, last but not least, excitement. An excitement that reborns with each new edition and that has brought us here.

What means to be here today, is that we have been fighting tirelessly to be able to create a space of openness, diversity and exchange for everyone; a space where people can experience movement away from questioning appearances; a space to unlearn, learn and relearn. A space where we can celebrate movement together.

We must recognise that there have been many obstacles along this path, but our desire to improve has always been stronger because we do not believe in resignation. Albert Einstein was absolutely right when he said that ‘there is a driving force more powerful than steam, electricity and atomic energy: the will’. Cultivating effort as time goes on is one of the keys to get where you want to go. Therefore, we encourage you to strive, day after day, to achieve your goals and make your dreams come true. Strive, trust in yourself and trust in the course of life. Let everything flow and nothing get in your way.

Let’s celebrate movement together at Festival Deltebre Dansa 2019!
